VIDEO: VIA Nano-Powered Lenovo S12 at Computex

Lenovo announced the IdeaPad S12 a few weeks ago in a variety of different models including one using the latest VIA Nano processor. With a fairly limited number of devices out there in the wild, Timothy was keen to get his mucky paws on one at the VIA booth last week. Read on for the video.
The Lenovo S12 is in fact a 12.1" device in a similar vein to the Samsung NC20 in that it's sitting pretty between the smaller mininote and larger traditional notebook form factors. Based on a 1.3 GHz VIA Nano U2250 processor the VIA VX800 media system processor, the Lenovo S12 continues VIA's push into top tier mobile PC territory, showing again that the VIA Nano platform is perfectly placed to offer consumers a blend of performance, features and battery life that fits today's mobile lifestyle.

Lenovo has always had a reputation for solid build quality and the S12 is no exception. It has a wicked keyboard that has been touted by some to be the best in this device category, while its larger LED-backlit screen has a resolution of 1280x800 pixels, making it great to watch high quality movies on.
The VIA Nano based Lenovo IdeaPad S12 will be available outside of the US from June this year from around the US$450 price point. Check the video below for a quick look at the future of mobile computing.
